SAFETY INSPECTIONS
Racking systems should be inspected by aSEMA Approved Racking Inspector (SARI) at least annually to ensure continued safety and compliance. In line withHSG76 guidance, inspections must be carried out by a technically competent person, such as a trained internal specialist, a representative from the racking supplier, or an independent qualified inspector.
Inspection frequency may need to be increased depending on the findings ofprevious assessments, the operational environment, and the extent of any damage, defects, or non-conformitiesidentified. Regular inspections help ensure that any issues are detected early, reducing the risk of accidents, product damage, and operational disruption.
